Has Israel’s offensive in Rafah started?

There have been airstrikes and fighting in the eastern outskirts of the city for several days.

On Tuesday, Israeli tanks were reported to have moved deeper into residential areas, closer to the centre.

Several hundred thousand people who were sheltering in Rafah are believed to have already packed up and moved to what the Israeli military has designated a ‘safe zone’ called Al-Mawasi.”
