thought for the day, by rev dr giles fraser

As a child of a priest, he hangs around church enough to pick up quite a lot of the grammar of Christianity. But he’s also Jewish, and so here in Israel where we’ve been living with my wife’s family over the last few months, Louis has been exposed to all the recent religious festival, Rosh Hashahah Yom Kppuur and now Succot. thought for the day, by chief rabbi ephraim mirvis

“I believe that now, more than ever before, our challenged world needs to understand and internalise what it means to be a mensch. A mensch passionately fights for what they believe is right, without ever compromising on courtesy.  A mensch debates the substance of an issue, without seeking to destroy their opposition. thought for the day, by parliamentary lawyer daniel greenberg

Jewish liturgy constantly refers to God as Aveinu, Our Father, and to us as children. The right of children to their parents’ love and vice versa is sacred and precious, and should be respected and protected, whether on religious or humanitarian grounds, by all.”
