“The German embassy in London has received several hundred requests from Britons about German citizenship since the EU referendum, including some from descendants of Jewish refugees who fled Nazi Germany. They are looking to use a little known provision in German law which allows for refugees and their descendants to have their citizenship restored.
One of them is the British Jewish author Thomas Harding who has written* about his family’s experience in fleeing from Germany in the 1930s.”
