At least eight Israelis have been injured after a Palestinian attacker rammed his car into a crowded bus stop in Tel Aviv, before stabbing people at random.
The militant Hamas group described it as revenge for Israel’s large-scale military operation in the occupied West Bank town of Jenin – in which 11 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded.
Jenin was the scene of one of the most violent episodes of the Second Intifada, or Uprising, twenty years ago.
