A single darned sock and a frayed dress form part of a story we know we must never be allowed to forget, the story of course of the holocaust. the massacre of amongst others 6 million Jews by the Nazix.
They’re the first items to be donated to the Manchester Jewish Museum as part of an object appeal which is being launched today, Holocaust Memorial Day. The sock and the dress belong to Judith Wertheimer, They were worn by her late mother, Helen Taichner, when she hid from the Nazis for five months in a Polish cellar.

It reported that Belz rabbis said that having female drivers breaks traditional modesty rules and is against the norms of Chasidic institutions.
Miriam is from the Chasidic community in North London, and decided to drive against the wishes of her family.”
