“The dress historian • Lucy Adlington has written a novel for young adults entitled ‘Red Ribbon‘.
It is inspired by the real female prisoners who worked in the tailoring studio at camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
They were tasked with making stylish clothes for Hedwig Hoss, the wife of the Nazi commander, as well as the wives of other male officers.”
