for forthcoming uk programmes of jewish or israeli interest

last wednesday morning (28th june), 4.30-5.00am (repeated 12.30am yesterday), on bbc news tv (repeated 3.06am today, on bbc world service radio)
moshe ya’alon – israeli minster of defence 2013-2016 (interviewed by stephen sackur) (in the hardtalk series)

” Stephen Sackur speaks to the former Israeli defence minister Moshe Ya’alon, who has become a harsh critic of prime minister Netanyahu.
On the face of it, Israel has achieved a form of stability – led by the same man for eight years, locked in a state of hostile non-communication with the Palestinians, confident of strong support from Washington.
But look a little deeper and cracks appear. Prime minister Netanyahu is under investigation and Israeli society appears ill at ease with itself.
How fragile is Israeli unity?.”
“Moshe Ya’alon served in the Israel Defence Force for 38 years including as Chief of Staff from 2002 to 2005. He then entered politics and served as Minister of Defence for three years until his resignation in May 2016.
At the time warned that Israel had been taken over by ‘dangerous and extreme elements’.
He wants to run for prime minister at Israel’s next election and he tells HARDtalk’s Stephen Sackur ‘I found too many politicians generating hatred against someone, against the Arabs, against leftists, against the media, against the Supreme Court, which is a challenge’.”
